The Emily Koenig Spirit Award is given annually to a seventh-grader at Villa Maria Academy who exhibits the qualities of good character, leadership and citizenship; all qualities Emily demonstrated during her brief life here on earth.

Avery Steltz is the recipient of the 2021 Emily Koenig Memorial Award. Avery was chosen by her classmates for exemplifying the qualities of inclusion, generosity, and service to others, qualities which Emily herself embodied.

About the Scholarship
The Emily Koenig Spirit Award awards funds to one seventh-grade student currently attending Villa Maria Academy to go towards their tuition. All students are eligible for the scholarship, and the winner is chosen by all members of the current seventh-grade class.
